皆さん、こんにちは。一年間の留学をするにあたって、日本はもちろん外国に行くのも初めての経験でした。ですから、出発前に本当に興奮する一方で、日本での生活について心配しました。今はもう四カ月が経って、福島での生活に慣れたと思います。

　今回は、休日に訪れた場所や体験したことについて紹介したいと思います。

　今学期は毎日授業がありましたが、時間がある時に、いろいろなところを訪れました。10月、飯坂のけんか祭りに誘われました。午前中に他の留学生と一緒にお神輿(意外と重い)を運びました。その後温泉に行って、リラックスしました。夕方からはけんか祭りが始まりました。

　11月は「ももりんダッシュNo1」と「ふくしま植樹祭」にも参加し、紅葉狩りにも行きました。霊山で登山をしながら美しい紅葉を楽しみました。春はハイキングすることを楽しみにしています。リンゴ狩りの時には、おいしいリンゴをたくさん食べたほか、浴衣を着て茶道も体験できました。

　冬休みは旅行をせずに、国際交流会館でのんびり過ごしました。大雪が降った日に雪だるまを作ったり、雪合戦をしました。クリスマスに留学生やバディたちとパーティを行って、一緒に過ごしました。お正月に近くの稲荷神社に何人かで初詣に行きました。

　今まで行ったところは遊びのためだけではなく、授業として勉強のために訪れたスポットもあります。最初は浪江町と富岡町を訪れました。最近、福島第一原子力発電所にも行って、事故について勉強しました。

　もちろん、旅行以外の活動もしています。月に一回ハンガリー料理の食事会を行っています。日本人の友だちや他の留学生たちを誘って、みんなで食べたり、話したりしながら時間を過ごします。それぞれのイベントや旅行が貴重な経験になりました。

Hello everyone. This one year I can spend as an exchange student is not only my first visit to Japan, but also my first time being abroad. That is why, before coming to Japan I felt really excited on one hand, but on the other hand I was a bit anxious living in Japan too. Now that I've already been here for four months, I think I got used to living here.

This time I would like to write about my free time activities a bit.

In this semester although I have had classes on every day during the week, on my free days I visited various places in Fukushima prefecture. For example, in October I had the opportunity to experience Iizaka's Kenka Matsuri. In the morning with other international students we carried around an omikoshi (portable shrine, which was heavier than it looked). In the afternoon we went to a hot spring for relaxing, and in the evening we watched the matsuri.

In November I participated in some events like Momorin Dash, or tree planting in Minamisoma, and I also went to see the autumn leaves. We went to Mount Ryozen for hiking. While climbing to the top we could enjoy the beautiful autumn scenery. Now I can't wait for spring to start, so I can go hiking again. On the occasion of apple picking I got to eat a lot of delicious apples, and I also could experience a traditional tea ceremony while wearing yukata.

I spent my winter break mainly at the dormitory and didn't go traveling much. One day when it was snowing a lot, we went outside to build snowmen and to have a snowball fight. On Christmas the exchange students threw a Christmas party, where our buddies were also invited. On New Year's Day some of us went to the nearest shrine to pray.

I also got to go places not because of sightseeing but for studying. First we went to Namie and Tomioka. Then recently we visited the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant too, to learn about the accident.

There are other activities to do when I'm not traveling. For example every month I'm holding a Hungarian Food Party. I usually invite my friends, so we spend the day with eating and chatting. I think that each of this events and trips became a lifelong experience for me.
