My life so far as an exchange student at Fukushima University has been very fun. Fukushima Prefecture's nature is beautiful and, even with no events to attend due to the virus, there are many interesting places I had the opportunity to visit. For example, Hanami-yama which is only 40 minutes by foot from the place I live, Fukushima University's International House. Hanami-yama is really really beautiful during sakura season. You can enjoy looking at not only cherry blossoms, but peach and plum blossoms as well, and so on. If you walk along the path, you can reach the peak of the mountain and see the whole city's scenery, which I found very beautiful. There are other nature landmarks too, like for example Shinobu mountain and Forest of Small Birds. You can also see the whole town's scenery from the Forest of Small Birds, and the bird songs are beautiful, so it's a place where you can really relax. I haven't been to Shinobu mountain yet, but now that this week the weather has gotten nicer I definitely intend on going next time I'm free. I'd love it if everyone else could enjoy the beauty of Fukushima Prefecture as I did.
