After two year I was finally here in Japan, what a journey this was. I applied to come to Japan back in 2019 when I had to choose between a minor or study abroad, of course I choose Japan who wouldn't right? Well everything changed when the pandemic hit I could not travel to Japan and had to wait for how long no one knew. I was at home everyday checking on informations when is Japan going to open again. Well after two years I finally got here. The journey here was long and tiresome for me I had to travel for 28 hours because of the situation in Europe. So let me not bore you and get to the good part.

I arrived here on a Thursday afternoon I was so exited, got of the plain walked out of the airport and took a Shinkansen train to Fukushima, I got here around nigh time because I got lost plenty of times a mistake I learned from, to get a sim card before you land. When I got here I was picked up by one of the teachers who was very helpful during this process. Got here woke up next day I was on a mountain yes on a mountain. It was the beautiful scenery that I would never forget.

When I arrived the night before I was greeted by many other students that staid at the Kaikan (studens housing). They were very friendly people and I had a lot of fun with them, we visited many places together and went out drinking many times. There are students from every part of the world who were eager to visit Japan most of them for the same reason as me because they wanted to explore and experience this beautiful country and what is has to offer.

Fukushima city is very beautiful it is surrounded by mountains beautiful landscapes and allot of greenery. If you love the outdoors and love hiking in particular Fukushima is the place to be. On my visit here I went to many places like onsens and visited other parts of Fukushima that are so rich with history.

The city itself is like a giant history book there are many places to visit I recommend to visit Aizu region.

Like I said Fukushima is rich in history, but it also lacks in some places for example if you are a party person you would not find anything to do at night the night life here is dead. Therefore, you can visit Sendai is 30 min away from Fukushima by Shinkansen and this city is like a mini Tokyo the night life there is vivid.

My time here has not ended yet I still have many places to go and so much I want to see, but I can tell you would not be disappointed. There's so much to do and so little time and I intend to do the most I can with that little time I have. Japan is a country I would never forget and would definitely visit again in the near future.
