Traveling is something that everyone longs for in their life, that is why I always think about a quote a dear friend told me long ago. "Travel while you still have time" This and many other reasons drove me to follow my heart and move to Fukushima and follow their Spring semester study program. When I first arrived at Fukushima I was relieved to finally be there. although by the time that I write this I think it might be much easier to travel to Japan. I had to wait two years to be there, was is worth the wait? Absolutely!

My time there was amazing I was astonished by the country and everything else, the people, the food and the country side of Fukushima was breathtaking. I recommend taking William's Sensei classes, he has so much to teach and I do not think one semester would be enough for what he has in-store for you.

He is an example of what a great teacher should be, he goes far and beyond to help and teach. He will do everything in his power to make your stay an unforgettable experience. I do not think I would ever in my life have such a great experience as of what he gave us. I could write a whole essay of what I have seen and learned thanks to this exceptional teacher. Thank you for this experience William. Also, to everyone at the international center I want to thank you for making this possible, thank you for your hard work and the patience you have shown all off us.

Now to get back at track, the country Japan itself is a country rich in culture and history. Personally I do not think there is somewhere in the world that you can see the dedication in the people in preserving their culture in history. There would never be enough time in a lifetime to explore and learn the different cultures and histories in this beautiful country. Starting from Fukushima you'd need years to embrace this beautiful prefecture. In my stay in Japan I mostly stayed in Fukushima but traveled to Sendai, Osaka (Nara), Kyoto an Tokyo which I highly recommend visiting.

Now let's talk about the food, the food in Japan is amazing I cannot put it in words. One thing I can say forget anything you have eaten in your life, nothing will compare to the food you will consume in this country. The best thing is every prefecture had their own signature dishes that will leave you longing for more even after you just ate. Sadly, I could not stay longer but for the most part I ate everything that was at my disposal. Do not let the looks fool you, eat everything you have the chance to. I LOVED the ramen here also, Japanese curry is amazingly good.

To anyone coming or considering coming to Japan, do not hesitate to do different things try to have fun, but also remember to respect the people and their culture. Have fun but do not disturb their peace I wish you the best of luck. Again thank you for having me.
